Serena couldn’t remember a time when she went to bed early. But that is exactly what she had done last night. She had chosen to go to sleep, over going out with Blair. Blair didn’t seem to mind, so Serena wasn’t feeling too guilty about it. But, one bad thing about going to sleep early was the fact that you woke up early. But, Serena didn’t mind. When she looked outside her window, she saw that the sun was out. It seemed to be a little warm by how everyone was dressed out on the street. Well, duh it was summer.

Serena walked over to her closet and pulled out a pair of shorts and a tank top. She wasn’t really sure where she planned to go, but she wanted to go out. Serena opened the door to leave, and looked down at her feet; she had forgotten to put on shoes. She ran back to her room and grabbed the first thing she could. She noticed that they were sneakers; she also grabbed a pair of socks. She sat on her bed, and put on her socks and shoes. Serena walked over to her mirror; to make sure didn’t forget anything else. Once, she was happy that she didn’t, she once again made her way out of her house.

Once she was outside, she took a deep breath. Before, she began to walk she promised herself that she wouldn’t think about Dan or Georgina. Thinking about them took so much time, and energy. Today she just wanted to relax. Maybe even hang out with Blair. Serena took out her phone and dialed Blair’s number. The phone rang and then her voicemail picked up. Serena closed the phone, without leaving a message. She guessed Blair was still sleeping, and didn’t want to be bothered. Serena was sure Blair would call her back later. Serena began to walk and made her way to Central Park.

Serena began to walk around and noticed a very familiar person sitting on a bench. She walked over to Nate. “Hey, what are you doing up?” Serena said in a somewhat motherly tone. Serena took a seat down to Nate on the bench.

Serena nodded her head. She should have guessed that Nate was running, it was sort of his thing. But, it wasn't Serena's thing, unless you count running to class so she wouldn't be late. Serena smiled. She turned her head to Nate to see if he had anything else to say.

No sooner had she turned her head, Nate said something. "Where are you heading too?" Serena really wasn't going anywhere. She of course could go see Blair, but she didn't want to do that right this moment. She guessed she could say nowhere. "Well, I'm going where ever you are going." Serena smiled. She didn't have anywhere to go, way not hang with her Nate. It was always fun to hang around with him. Hopefully her wouldn't mind.

Serena watched as he drank some water. It reminded her that she hadn't eaten anything this morning. She watched as he put the bottle down. She picked it up and opened it. She turned to Nate and gave him a look that meant you don't right? Without waiting she took a sip and put the bottle on the bench. "Have you eaten yet? I am so hungry."

Serena waited for Nate to speak. She pushed a little piece of hair away from her eye. She looked at Nate, she couldn't help remember all the good times they had had. Parties and dealing with their crazy parents. The moments with Nate and Blair were the ones she would remember forever.

She looked around the park, there weren't many people. Most of the people were running, something Serena rarely did. Serena smiled when she heard Nate say "Let's go get something to eat." He offered her his hand. She placed her hand in his. She got from the bench she was sitting on. With her other hand she pulled her shirt down.

After fixing her shirt she tapped her finger to her chin. "Umm, where can we go?" Serena thought of all the places they could go. Serena thought that she should let Nate decided. "I really don't know, where do you think we should go?" Serena smiled.
